Eurostar Commodities, a leading supplier of premium ingredients, has joined forces with The Green Farm Collective (TGFC) to launch RISE RE:GEN Flour – a new range of flours produced using regenerative farming practices. With the strapline “Farmed with Nature”, this launch marks a significant step forward in making regenerative agriculture more visible – and viable – within the baking industry.

The RISE RE:GEN range is the result of a collaborative effort between Eurostar and TGFC’s four founding farmers – Jake Freestone, Angus Gowthorpe, Michael Kavanagh and Tim Parton. Together, they are working to create sustainable, profitable end markets for crops grown under regenerative principles.

Formed four years ago, The Green Farm Collective is a regenerative farming community dedicated to supporting growers who are committed to practices that prioritise soil health, biodiversity, and a reduced environmental impact. Their mission is to ensure these efforts are not only recognised but rewarded throughout the supply chain.

Speaking on the partnership, Jake Freestone said:

"The Eurostar team has fully embraced the importance of our regenerative approach, recognising the value of focusing on soil health, lowering environmental impact, and enhancing biodiversity. What truly stands out is Eurostar’s understanding that this way of farming deserves fair financial reward."

He went on to add

"They have created an exclusive brand of TGFC flours, selling to their influential customer base in pizza, bread, and other wheat-based products, while paying us a reflective price for our crops. It’s a genuine and respectful partnership that highlights Eurostar’s progressive leadership in the food supply chain."

A family-run business, Eurostar Commodities supplies manufacturers, wholesalers, foodservice, retailers and consumers across the UK, Ireland, Northern Europe, the Middle East and Iceland. The launch of RISE RE:GEN responds directly to a growing demand from customers seeking sustainably sourced, environmentally conscious ingredients.

Diane Crabtree, Sales Manager at Eurostar, added:

"The market for regeneratively farmed flour is growing in line with consumer demand. It’s a proud moment for us to partner with TGFC on such an important range, which aligns perfectly with our values and the needs of our customers."

The RISE RE:GEN range is available in 16kg paper sacks, offered as both Strong and All Purpose Flour varieties.

While the UK and Europe currently lack an official standard for regenerative farming, TGFC has proactively developed its own robust set of criteria to ensure transparency and credibility. Partnering with Food Integrity Assurance, they have established verification processes for member farms, including carbon and environmental baselining, diverse crop rotations, nutrient management plans, and minimal soil disturbance.

TGFC also works with Trinity Agtech’s Sandy software to record and report members’ farming interventions, ensuring full transparency and traceability throughout the supply chain.

Beyond product development, TGFC continues to grow its network of farmers across the UK and Europe, providing support, knowledge sharing, and building a fully audited community of regenerative growers.

"Our farmer members are all at different stages of their regenerative journeys,"

Jake added.

"But together, we’re creating a credible and traceable farming standard that not only builds confidence with partners like Eurostar but also reassures their customers."

The Green Farm Collective’s pioneering efforts were recently recognised with the 2023 BBC Food and Farming Awards, winning the Farming for the Future category in collaboration with Farming Today and The Archers.
