The food industry’s workforce will soon be confronted with a generational shift.
Experts are retiring, so passing their knowledge and ensuring that hygienic design and engineering principles are infused onto the next generation is an urgent priority for EHEDG and like-minded organisations.
Especially looking to a future marked by innovation and a growing emphasis on sustainability in the food safety and quality fields.
EHEDG and Young EFFoST are happy to announce the launch of the EYE Mentorship Programme, whose aim to is to pair highly motivated PhD students and young professionals from the food industry with seniors in the field.
The mentees will be encouraged and empowered in personal development, and helped to identify and achieve career goals. Mentors will broaden their network and have the opportunity to hone their leadership and coaching skills.
The programme will kick off at the 2023 EFFoST International Conference in Valencia (Spain), and will be followed by separate 1:1 sessions.
