Exciting times ahead as AB Mauri Executive board makes four new appointments and targets new food manufacturing sectors

The AB Mauri Executive board, the strategic and planning arm of the business in UK and Ireland, announces four new key appointments and outlines its intention to expand its delivery of industry leading technical solutions not only within the Bakery sector but also other relevant markets.

 

AB MAURI's Managing Director, Andy Pollard commented: "I am delighted to welcome the new members of our Executive board. These appointments ensure we further reinforce our levels of market leading service, innovation, customer support and expertise to the baking industry. Additionally, they significantly enhance our ability deliver our class leading food technology, innovation and expertise to new and developing markets. We are undoubtedly in very exciting times."

Dan Parkin joins the Executive board of AB Mauri UK & Ireland as Finance & IT Director. Working within the Associated British Foods group, his experience has encompassed British Sugar, AB Agri and the Weston Centre.

 

Dan commented: "Everyone is very engaged and invested in the future of the business. It's great to join such a successful business, with exciting challenges ahead."

Stephen Tutt comes on board as Director of Supply Chain. His responsibilities include procurement, production & demand Planning, logistics and customer services. Stephen brings over 30 years of experience in agriculture, food service and food manufacturing. Prior to joining AB Mauri UK in 2011 as a Procurement Manager, Stephen held previous roles in Dalgety, Kerry, Scottish & Newcastle, Westmill Foods and a number of years as a Procurement Consultant.

 

Stephen commented: "I am delighted to be joining the Executive board in AB Mauri UK & Ireland and I'm looking forward to helping deliver our Strategic Goals. As Director of Supply Chain my responsibilities include Procurement, Production & Demand Planning, Logistics and Customer Services."

Andrew Dinsdale joins the Executive board as Director of Sales for the UK. A role which has evolved from head of sales and lead for the industrial sector. One of Andrew's primary responsibilities will be giving direction to the PureCraft™ team, overseeing the commercial success of the exciting new premium bakery mixes brand. Andrew's journey into baking started in 1989 with a baking course at Monkwearmouth college. Andrew's experience includes spells with education, RHM technology, Rank Hovis, British Bakels and Novozymes. He's now been with AB Mauri for a combined 16 years, in a variety of technical and commercial roles, on a UK and global basis.

 

Andrew commented: "It's a real privilege to be joining the Executive board at AB Mauri. Over the years, AB Mauri has delivered new technology and pushed the boundaries to make a difference in product and ingredient technology. My focus is to build and lead a commercial team that will evolve with the changing environment and evolution of the industry we serve."

Brian Hunnikin, the last of the four new Executive board appointments, is Director of Manufacturing and Engineering. Brian has specific responsibility for AB Mauri's Northampton, Corby, Royston and Gainsborough sites, with the goal of ensuring their status as world leading manufacturing plants. Brian has an impressive manufacturing and operations pedigree, with a career spanning Unilever, Walkers Snacks, Mars, Weetabix, and 9 years at Princes Foods, leading a logistics and manufacturing team producing 15 million cases per annum.

 

Brian commented: "I'm relishing the task ahead and look forward to showcasing our manufacturing facilities to a global audience as outstanding examples of their type."

A huge welcome was expressed to the four new appointments by existing AB Mauri Executive board members, Carl Vitty, Jason Vaghela and Jim Hawkridge.
