The baking industry sees the appointment of two new CEOs this month.
On 1 May Felix Egger was confirmed in the role of CEO by the RONDO’s board of directors. He succeeds the interim office-holder, Bernard Merk who accepted the title in 2919.
The 50 year-old Egger was previously managing director of window manufacturer VELUX and also brings experience of the export-oriented capital goods industry to the Group, including ABB and SMEs such as Gallus Ferd. Rüesch AG.

Meanwhile Roger Butler, chairman of Whitworth Bros and Carr's Flour mills, takes over as CEO of the National Association of British and Irish Millers (NABIM) this month. A former vice-president of the Association, Butler succeeds George Marraige in the role at a critical time as UK millers ensure the supply commercial and retail flour supplies during lockdown.
The new CEO, who first began work in the milling industry aged 14 in the school holidays, commented: "I am both proud and honoured to become president of an organisation which does so much to promote and protect everything which makes our industry special."
