UK imports of South African raisins soar, with further growth predicted

Exports of South African raisins to the UK have more than doubled over the past year as the British market continues its love affair with the dried fruit. In 2024 the UK imported 9,100 tonnes of raisins from South Africa, which represents a 137% increase on the year before and a near tripling of the 3,800t sent in 2022.

Scientific Award - Dr Christina Schubert honored for her research on phages
